“At Sarah Cannon Cancer Network, we are in the business of solving access to cell therapy and complex blood cancer care.
We recently kicked off CAR T cell program in Northern Virginia as a partnership between HCA Healthcare’s Reston Hospital/Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network and The US Oncology Network’s Virginia Cancer Specialists, P.C.. Under the leadership of Mitul Gandhi, both sides made investments in infrastructure and people, developed collaborative care pathways, and trained clinical staff. Cell therapy patients will mostly receive outpatient care at VCS clinic, with Reston Hospital reserved for management of complications (adverse event site).
Extremely grateful and proud of our teams that worked on getting this off the ground. This oncology practice and local hospital collaborative care model will serve as an example to facilitate delivery of cell and gene therapies CGT in the community.”
