Nataliya Kovalchuk, Clinical Professor at Stanford Radiation Oncology, shared a post by Stanford Radiation Oncology on LinkedIn, adding:
“Deeply honored and humbled to be named the 2027 Honorary Member of European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO).
This recognition means so much to me because it reflects the incredible collective effort of Help Ukraine Group (HUG), our Ukrainian colleagues, and our many international partners who continue to stand with Ukraine and support radiation oncology during the war.
This award belongs to every educator, mentor, donor, vendor, volunteer, host institution, and Ukrainian radiation oncology professional who continues working tirelessly to improve cancer care under unimaginable circumstances. Lots of gratitude to Stanford Radiation Oncology for jump-starting my efforts with observerships and virtual course support!
I am profoundly grateful to ESTRO for this honor and for continuously supporting Ukraine and the global radiation oncology community. ESTRO has been instrumental in educating Ukrainian radiation oncology professionals during the war. Thank you!
Most importantly, I want to thank the resilient Ukrainian oncology professionals who inspire me every single day with their strength, dedication, and commitment to their patients. Slava Ukraini!
Many thanks to Prof Anna Dubrovska for the kind and surprising nomination.”
