Nancy Sobhy Bolous, Health Economics, Health Technology Assessment, Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Decision Sciences, Hospital Management, Healthcare Management Consulting, Healthcare Management Innovation, Public Health Project Management, Assistant Professor at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Ten years ago, I graduated from the EU-HEM Master’s Program after two years of studying and moving across Europe. I was a nerdy nomad with big dreams.
Last month, I had the privilege of returning to the Eu-HEM Career Event in Croatia as one of eight alumni invited to share our career journeys to help prepare the next graduating class for the job market. As the only alumnus on the panel working in the nonprofit sector, in a hospital, in academia and in the United States, I was honored to offer a different perspective.
Beyond the event itself, it was a wonderful reunion, especially reconnecting with my professors and my classmate Neil Cherian, whom I had not seen in over 10 years. I also enjoyed bonding with fellow alumni and was inspired by the incredible and diverse paths they have taken since graduation.
This event marked another important step in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital-Eu-HEM partnership that Frederick Thielen and I have been building over the past eight months. Today in particular marks a significant milestone in that collaboration: the first student to complete a thesis under joint supervision between St. Jude and Eu-HEM successfully defended her work and officially graduated. Congratulations, Aleksandra Kreczkiewicz!
Thank you to Ola Magnusson, Siegfried Walch and the organizing committee for the invitation. I’m excited about what lies ahead for both Eu-HEM graduates and the growing partnership between St. Jude and Eu-HEM.”
