Muhammed Furkan Yıldırım, Medical Student, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As my time at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center comes to an end, I can confidently say that this has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my medical journey.
Over the past weeks, I had the opportunity to rotate through Interventional Onco-Cardiology, Interventional Pain Medicine and Oncologic Critical Care, gaining exposure to a level of medicine that continuously inspires excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Beyond the clinical experience, I was fortunate to contribute to research projects, present scientific posters, and work on academic book chapters alongside outstanding physicians and mentors. These opportunities allowed me to grow not only as a future physician, but also as a researcher and lifelong learner.
What I will remember most, however, are the people, the teamwork, and the shared commitment to improving the lives of patients facing some of the most challenging diseases. I am especially grateful to Dr. Cezar Iliescu and Dr. Billy Huh, for their guidance, mentorship, and support throughout this experience.
I leave Houston with new perspectives, greater motivation, and an even stronger passion for medicine, research, and academic excellence.
Thank you, UT MD Anderson, for an unforgettable chapter of my journey.”
