Muhammad Umair Mushtaq: The First Fellow of the University of Kansas GVTP

Muhammad Umair Mushtaq, Associate Professor of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology and Transplantation/Cellular Therapy) at University of Kansas Medical Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Maryam Khan, an early-to-mid-career faculty member at the Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre, Pakistan, as the very first fellow of the University of Kansas Global Visitor Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Program (GVTP). Developed in collaboration with the Mikael Rayaan Foundation, this program aims to enhance capacity in hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cellular and gene therapies (CGT) in developing countries — fostering collaboration, skill development, and global health impact.

This milestone reflects our commitment to capacity building, global collaboration, and innovation in transplantation and cellular therapy. We look forward to the lasting partnerships that will emerge from this initiative.”
