Mostafa Faisal: Genomic and Clinical Integration Enhances MDS to AML Prediction

Mostafa Faisal, Adjunct Assistant Professor at Alfaisal University, shared a post on X about recent paper published in British Journal of Hematology:

“Integration of genomic and clinical variables improves the prediction of myelodysplastic syndromes to acute myeloid leukaemia transformation and prognosis.

MDS (China, n=437): New genomic models outperform IPSS-R/M. AML transformation predicted by BM blasts %, KRAS, STAG2, TP53. Validated OS & PFS models using age/sex + key mutations (TP53, TET2, SF3B1). Stratifies pts into 4 risk groups → better prognosis & treatment guidance.”
