Misty Shields, Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indiana University Health, shared on LinkedIn:
”To say I’m proud of my research assistant Anthony Cuadros in all that he has accomplished in two years in the shield slab at IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center – is truly an understatement. Anthony is a brilliant, thoughtful, kind, collaborative, ambitious, curious, hardworking, and an incredibly effective young man (annd avid competitive swimmer) with such a bright future ahead of him.
He aspires to be an oncologist and is already an accomplished cancer researcher and advocate, who just graduated high school. He began working in my lab at 16!
He has been an author on numerous publications, presented at international conferences, and recently wrote an American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) connections article ‘One More Lap’ highlighting his perspective as a young advocate champion, aspiring physician, and researcher for lung cancer.
We are SO excited for him as he begins undergrad at Indiana University! We will certainly miss him!”
