Miloš Grujić: Reflections on the 50th October Health Days in Kragujevac

Miloš Grujić, Co-Chair of Career Development Working Group at European School of Oncology, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The jubilee 50th October Health Days in Kragujevac once again positioned our city as a center of medical excellence and collaboration. This year, oncology was in focus – bringing together leading domestic and international experts to discuss where we stand today and how to move forward.

Among the many distinguished speakers, we were honored to welcome Prof. Daniel Kelly OBE (European Cancer Organisation), who initiated an important discussion on HPV vaccination and prevention in Serbia — a topic of great relevance for reducing cancer inequalities.

Sessions on gynecological oncology led by Dr. Johannes Knoth, Prof. Kathrin Kirschheiner, and Prof. Aljosa Mandic, on breast cancer by Prof. Ivica Ratosa, and on prostate cancer by Prof. Gokhan Ozyigit and Prof. Elvina Almuradova, provided valuable insights into state-of-the-art treatment and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Although unable to attend in person, Prof. Giulia Marvaso and Prof. Assia Konsoulova shared their excellent presentations remotely, further enriching the scientific program.

This milestone conference reminded us how essential it is to connect, exchange experiences, and define the next steps for advancing cancer care in Serbia and the region.

A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to this meaningful event. Together, we are shaping a better future for our patients.”
