Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared on LinkedIn:
“At the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, we know that meaningful change happens when people decide to show up for a cause that matters.
Every day, we see members of the colorectal cancer community transform personal experiences into action through our End Colon Cancer Coast to Coast fundraising program.
They host DIY community events, organize golf outings, lace up their running shoes, celebrate milestones, and find creative ways to bring people together to support our cause. Each event reflects the passion and commitment of individuals who want to make a difference.

What makes these events so powerful is that they do more than raise money for progress. They also create conversations, increase awareness, honor loved ones, and help ensure that more patients, caregivers. and families have access to the support and resources they need, so no one faces this disease alone.
It doesn’t take much to make an impact. You simply have to be willing to take the first step.

If you’re looking for a way to get involved, I encourage you to attend an event in your community or host one of your own. Every event, every conversation, and every new person who joins this movement strengthens our ability to change what is possible for people facing colorectal cancer.
