Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m proud to share that the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s Project Cure CRC initiative has been named a winner of the Amazon Webservice (AWS) 2025 Imagine Grant, in the Go Further, Faster category.
This recognition reflects the strength of our vision and the innovative ways we are using cloud technology to advance patient care and accelerate progress.
Project Cure CRC is creating a fully integrated, patient-centric data ecosystem that brings together clinical information, patient-reported outcomes, and genomic insights. With the power of AWS technologies, our platforms will enable new pathways for precision oncology, real-world evidence generation, and scientific discovery. This is the type of infrastructure that changes the trajectory of a disease and opens the door to personalized, more effective care.
We are grateful to AWS for recognizing the urgency and potential of this work and for standing with us as we push the field forward. The award includes $150,000 in unrestricted funding, $20,000 in AWS Credits, and engagement with AWS technical specialists. This support strengthens the momentum behind Project Cure CRC and expands what is possible in our mission to end this disease.
On December 10, our Chief Data and Analytics Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Marc Mason will present at the AWS Connected Community Customer Meetup on ‘Building a Patient-Centric Data Ecosystem for Precision Oncology: The Project Cure CRC Initiative.’ His leadership is helping shape a future in which AI and data work harder for patients, researchers, clinicians, and innovators across the colorectal cancer landscape.
