Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This past weekend, I had the privilege of witnessing an incredible outpouring of support at the fourth annual Bottoms Up Invitational, thanks to Craig Melvin and Lindsay Czarniak. This event is more than a celebration of music, golf, and camaraderie. It is a lifeline for those affected by colorectal cancer.
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in adults under 50, yet it does not receive the attention or funding it desperately needs. Events like the Bottoms Up Invitational are changing that narrative. Over the past four years, this gathering of celebrities, athletes, and passionate supporters has raised more than $4.4 million to fund the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s work in prevention, advocacy, support programs, and critical research.
This year’s event raised more than $1.1M, bringing us even closer to a future without colorectal cancer. I spoke with Craig on Today to share how the Alliance’s Project Cure CRC is working to end this disease.
Watch the segment here.
I am inspired by Craig and Lindsay’s commitment to turning personal loss into national impact, and I am grateful for the chance to work alongside them. Together, we can continue to shine a light on this disease and save lives.”
