“Deena Levine, is one of the most amazing people I know. She is the Division Director of the Quality of Life and Palliative Care team and I have had the privilege over the last several years to learn from her and the absolutely incredible work she does caring for our patients and families as well as see her leadership and vision for our team here St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Over the last year I have also witnessed as Deena has navigated another full-time and incredibly busy, stressful, and scary role of patient mother. Through all of this I have been struck by her grace, fortitude, perseverance, patience, and hope. We talk a lot about hope in palliative care and I don’t know of anyone who personifies it better than Dr. Deena Levine.”
