”We are very pleased to share our latest randomized control trial providing further evidence that artificial intelligence, Computer Aided Detection (CADe) systems improve the quality of colonoscopy. One might reasonably ask why, with more than 45 randomized control trials showing benefit, do we need additional evidence.
Since many of the randomized control trials in the past have been done in academic, tertiary care hospitals but most colonoscopies are performed in community clinics, we wish to extend the high quality evidence to locations where most colonoscopies are performed. This study confirmed previous randomized control trials including our own Mayo Clinic Florida the demonstrate that these technologies improve adenoma detection which is highly associated with a reduce risk of colorectal cancer.”
