“Following a series of successful educational workshops for Radiologists, we were delighted to extend our focus to another essential pillar of breast imaging excellence, our Mammographers – technologists.
The Workshop was successfully held at Bakhsh Breast Care Centre, bringing together technologists from more than 10 hospitals across Jeddah for a day of interactive learning, practical discussions, and hands-on training. The program combined practical tips for positioning, quality improvement strategies, communication skills, and hands-on training designed to enhance both technical performance and patient experience.
This educational activity was proudly endorsed by the Radiological Society of Saudi Arabia RSSA and the Egyptian Society Of Breast Imaging – EGSBI, reflecting our shared commitment to advancing breast imaging standards across the region.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Hanan Gewefel, was a tremendous asset to the scientific program. Her extensive expertise played an essential role in delivering a highly impactful and foundational learning experience for the participants.
Nevertheless, it would not have been possible without the outstanding expertise and dedication of senior mammographers, Ms. Eman Al Zubaidy and Ms. Rahaf Alzahrani who provided exceptional hands-on training sessions specially Sterotactic biopsy for the participants
We are also grateful to Mammotome- Maya Ahmed, for their continued support and partnership in our educational initiatives in Bakhsh Hospital.
Dr. Bakhsh Hospital ‘s support of medical education initiatives driven by a genuine belief of the institute mission to elevate healthcare standards, a legacy spans over 5 decades, since the hospital established in 1979. Appreciation goes directly to our CEO Rania Bakhsh, who is a passionate advocate in elevating the quality of women’s healthcare in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Gewefel is the former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST University), Founder and CEO of WAFI Women’s Imaging Clinics, and Director of the EGSBI Educational Outreach Program.
