Mercy Sopuruchi Agu, Patient Navigator and Fundraising Lead at Project PINK BLUE, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Sharing my cancer journey with NYSC members in Abuja.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer just five months after completing my NYSC. Three years later, I had the opportunity to share my cancer journey with current Corp members.
It was a moment of gratitude and purpose, I finally got to give back through awareness, something we didn’t receive during our service year.
We discussed different types of cancers, including: Breast cancer, Cervical cancer, Colorectal cancer, Prostate cancer.
Many attendees were enlightened, asked questions, and engaged in meaningful conversations about prevention, early detection, myths and healthy living.
A heartfelt thank you to Project PINKBLUE for giving me this platform to share my story and empower others.”
