“MSK Kids, the pediatric program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) recently co-hosted a United Nations (UN) General Assembly Side Event called ‘Childhood Cancer: Advancing the Global Initiative.’

The event brought together more than 70 in-person attendees, including members of the World Health Organization (WHO), clinicians, patient advocates, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and researchers, with nearly 175 more attendees who tuned in online from across the globe.

The meeting focused on the progress of the WHO Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer (GICC) and charted a path forward to increase global childhood cancer survival and reduce suffering for all.

The MSK Kids Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Pediatric Cancer Program is proud to support and participate in this endeavor and collaborate with colleagues across the globe towards a shared goal.”
