Melvin L.K. Chua, Head of the Department of Head Neck and Thoracic Cancers, Division of Radiation Oncology at National Cancer Centre Singapore, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“First time in the Middle East at the invitation of Prof. Humaid Al-Shamsi
Glad to be part of an illustrious panel discussing AI and Data in Clinical Decision Making in the Cancer Oncology space
Key points:
- RWD can potentially be controls of large Ph3 RCTs and mitigate cost of Clinica lTrials
- AI models could facilitate clinical decision making in Raredisease
- Need for demographics diversity in RWD which is also most challenging bit
- Elephant in the room is of course whether AIbots will replace Humans – Glad to see that the room was divided on this so there’s hope!
Once again, was an eye opener to witness innovations across all healthcare domains…
Till next time!”
