Mel Mann, 31-year terminal Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) Survivor, Clinical Trial Pioneer, and Patient Advocate, shared on X:
“31 years later… still showing up.
Took this selfie in front of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
This isn’t a tourist stop. This is the place that writes the playbook for how we treat cancer. Every guideline that comes out of this building is another chance for someone to live longer, live better, or live at all.
The standard of care shouldn’t depend on who you know, where you live, or how loud you can yell.
If you’re in the fight right now, keep going. The science is moving.
The work isn’t finished. Neither am I.”
