Medicaid Cancer Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On the 17th of November, the National Assembly went TEAL in honour of Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action.
A powerful moment led by the National Taskforce for Cervical Cancer Elimination – End Cervical Cancer Nigeria Initiative , in partnership with Medicaid Cancer Foundation , National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment , National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Nigeria, and other notable organisations committed to saving lives.
We provided technical support for this initiative, backed by our long-standing experience coordinating major monument light-ups across Nigeria — including the City Gate, Kebbi Palace in Gwandu, the National Mosque, and the National Ecumenical Centre. This is part of our One Actfor Elimination.
This symbolic lighting stands as a beacon of hope — for every woman, family, and community affected by cervical cancer, directly or indirectly. It is also a bold reminder of our collective commitment to a future where cervical cancer is no longer a threat.
Together, we move closer to achieving the WHO 90-70-90 target and creating a world where prevention, screening, and treatment are accessible to all.
Act Now. Eliminate Cervical Cancer.”
