Matthew Kurian, Physician at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, shared on LinkedIn:
“Unfortunately, my first European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) experience was cut short this year after an illness within the family during our trip to Spain. Seeking medical care in another county is a scary experience despite yourself being in healthcare.
A reminder that sometimes life has other plans. As much as we value our professional commitments, family always comes first.
Still proud of the work I contributed to ESMO, including our poster on ‘Real-World Outcomes with Ribociclib‘ with Paolo Tarantino, Reshma Mahtani, Virginia Kaklamani, Vaidyanathan Ganapathy, and Joyce O’Shaughnessy.
Thanks to all those who reached out to check on me and my family. Grateful to everyone sharing the exciting science and updates from Madrid.
Looking forward to catching up on everything over the next few weeks!”
