Kerry Reynolds Runs the Boston Athletic Association 10K in Support of Her Patients – Mass General Brigham

Mass General Brigham shared a post on LinkedIn:

Kerry Reynolds, MD, is the founder and director of the Severe Immunotherapy Complications Service at Mass General Brigham—the only program of its kind in the country to focus on the side effects of immunotherapy. In her role as director, Dr. Reynolds helms a team on the cutting edge of major breakthroughs in cancer treatment. This year, she’s running the Boston Athletic Association 10k in support of her patients at Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute.

‘The group I lead—the Severe Immunotherapy Complications Service—began with very special patients like David and Rodrigo, and many others, whose journeys revealed both the life-saving promise of immunotherapy and the urgent need to better recognize and treat their side effects.’

‘David and Rodrigo died nearly 10 years ago from complications related to these toxicities, at a time when the field was still in its infancy,’ she says. ‘Their stories changed me and us at MGB forever, and inspired us to build something different—to bring together experts across every discipline to care for patients facing the most complex complications of cancer therapy and the scientists to uncover what is driving these conditions. Every dollar raised through this race will help unite experts across Mass General Brigham, advance research and education, and ensure our cancer patients receive coordinated, world-class care when they need it most.'”
