Mashukur Rahman: Honored to be Participating in ICATH-LMIC 2026

Mashukur Rahman, Oncology Resident Doctor at Bangladesh Medical University, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Attending ICATH-LMIC 2026 / International Conference on Appropriate Technology for Healthcare in LMICs

Honored to be participating in ICATH-LMIC 2026 at the University of Dhaka, where researchers, clinicians, engineers, and innovators are coming together to discuss how appropriate technology can transform healthcare in low – and middle – income countries.

As a Clinical Oncology resident, this theme is especially meaningful. Cancer care is no longer defined solely by newer treatments – it also depends on technologies that are accessible, affordable, and adaptable to resource-constrained settings.

From AI-assisted diagnostics and precision radiotherapy to digital pathology, tele-oncology, and smarter treatment planning, the greatest innovations are those that improve outcomes while remaining practical for the populations that need them most.

Looking forward to insightful discussions, meaningful collaborations, and ideas that can help bridge the gap between innovation and equitable cancer care.”
