The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We were delighted to host a webinar last week for MASCC members on ‘Centering Voices: Best Practices for Engaging People with Lived Experience (PWLE) in Supportive Care in Cancer’.
Thanks to our chair Dr. Maryam Lustberg and presenters Ms. Stacey Tinianov (Advocates for Collaborative Education) and Ms. Carolyn Taylor (Global Focus on Cancer).
The full recording is available to MASCC members in the Education Portal.”
Carolyn Taylor, Founder and Executive Director of Global Focus on Cancer (GFC), shared this post, adding:
“I’m pleased to share the recorded MASCC webinar on meaningful engagement of people with lived experience in supportive cancer care — and how we measure it.
Together with my dear colleague Stacey Tinianov, and expertly moderated by Dr. Maryam Lustberg, I explore:
- how to move beyond tokenism to true partnership,
- the WHO Framework on Meaningful Engagement,
- why lived experience strengthens evidence and improves acceptability, and
- practical ways to measure engagement, from GRIPP2-lite to simple tools that document where PWLE input changes practice and policy.
MASCC members can watch the webinar via the link on Education Portal.
Thank you to MASCC for spotlighting this issue and to everyone working to make supportive cancer care more people-centred, accountable, and grounded in lived experience.”
