Marwan Ghosn: MENA Biomarkers Days Brings Oncology Community Together in Douma

Marwan Ghosn, Professor and Chairman of Hematology – Oncology Department at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Congratulations to Dr. Hampig Kourie on the success of the MENA Biomarkers Days, held in the beautiful town of Douma, Lebanon.

With the support of the Lebanese Societies of Medical Oncology and Pathology, as well as the Emirates Oncology Society and its President, Professor Humaid Al Shamsi, this meeting was a meaningful opportunity to share knowledge, exchange expertise, and reconnect as a medical community despite the uncertain security situation in our region.

I would also like to acknowledge the heartfelt recognition given to Professor Georges Chahine for his lifelong commitment to medical education, oncology, and patient care in Lebanon and across the region.

The strong participation of young oncologists and fellows added great value to the presentations, roundtable discussions, and scientific exchange, a reflection of the promising future of oncology in the MENA region.”
