Martha Wanjiru: Every HPV DNA Self-Sampling Kit Is a Chance to Save a Life

Martha Wanjiru, Registered Palliative Care Nurse, Breast and Cervical Cancer Advocate, Kiambu County, Kenya, shared a post on LinkedIn:

Every kit represents an opportunity to save a life.
This HPV DNA self-sampling kit is a game changer in cervical cancer screening. By making screening more accessible, acceptable, and convenient, it empowers women to take charge of their health while helping overcome barriers that often prevent timely screening.
To achieve the WHO 90-70-90 targets for cervical cancer elimination, we need wider availability and increased use of HPV DNA self-sampling kits. Expanding access will enable more women to be screened, more precancerous lesions to be detected and treated early, and ultimately save more lives.
Together, we can ensure that no woman is left behind.”
