“I had the privilege of mentoring healthcare providers at Gikambura Health Centre on Screen and Treat for cervical cancer prevention and breast cancer early detection.
Also covered cervical cancer screening methods, treatment of precancerous lesions using thermal ablation, and practical demonstrations of the Liger and WISAP devices. We also discussed the WHO 90-70-90 strategy606080 GBCI, use of MOH 412 and MOH 745 tools, referral systems.
Building the capacity of healthcare providers is key to improving access to quality, people-centred cancer prevention, early detection, timely referral, and treatment. Together, we are strengthening health systems and moving closer to the elimination of cervical cancer while improving breast cancer outcomes.”
