Martha Wanjiru, Nurse Educator and ToT in Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment of Precancerous Lesions Screening, Cervical Advocate and Champion Kiambu County, Kenya, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Keep planting seeds.
One day you’re going to wake up and there will be a flourishing garden surrounding you – full of life, impact, and purpose.
Keep going.
Know that it’s going to work out.
It may not work out exactly how you thought it would, but that is okay… because it will work out even better.
This is the mindset that fuels my work in the community, especially in advancing breast and cervical cancer screening in the community. Every outreach, every conversation, every woman reached is a seed planted. Some seeds grow immediately, while others take time-but each one matters.
I have witnessed how awareness turns into action, fear turns into courage, and screening becomes a life-saving decision.
Keep planting seeds.
One day you’re going to wake up and there will be a ‘flourishing garden’ surrounding you full of so much ‘life’.
I had the opportunity to conduct cervical cancer screening in a flower farm, reaching women in shifts as they came from their work stations.
In that moment, the message felt even more real-planting seeds of health and hope among women who spend their days nurturing growth.
Hope you can connect.”
