Mark Wildgust, Vice President, Global Medical Affairs, Oncology at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, shared on LinkedIn:
”This week marks 27 years since I moved to the United States – a milestone that reminds me how time shapes both journeys and progress.
In oncology, we are entering a new era of innovation. The convergence of science, technology, and patient‑centered care is accelerating us toward possibilities once thought out of reach. We are not only extending lives – we are moving closer to cures.
At Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine our mission is clear: to deliver better today’s and more tomorrows. That phrase captures the essence of this moment – improving care now while unlocking hope for the future.
But progress is not only about what we achieve; it is equally about how we achieve it. As a leader, I believe culture is the engine of innovation. Supporting teams with clarity, purpose, and connectedness ensures that breakthroughs are not just scientific, but human. It is in the way we collaborate, the way we challenge boundaries, and the way we stay anchored in patients’ needs that true transformation happens.
Looking back, I am grateful for the journey that brought me here. Looking forward, I am inspired by the bold leaps we are making together – leaps that will redefine cancer care and bring us closer to a world where prevention, interception, and cures are within reach.
Innovation demands vision, courage, and culture. I am proud to play my part in shaping all three.”
