Mark Lawler, Associate Director of Postgraduate Studies, Chair in Translational Cancer Genomics, and Professor of Digital Health at Queen’s University Belfast, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Kicked off our US Visit at Westfield State University with its very impressive President Linda Thompson and her team Tara Vrooman Assistant Professor of Biology and Lamis Jarvinen, Ph.D.
We had very productive discussions on digital health, the rural urban divide in health, with particular emphasis on cancer, midwifery and simulation. Very impressed with their Entrepreneurial Centre for Undergrads. Lots to ponder for future collaboration.
And all thanks to University of Massachusetts Amherst powerhouse and great friend of myself and of Queen’s University Belfast, Kathryn Ellis.
Like their motto – Unity is our Strength; Diversity is our Power.”
