Mark Lawler, Chair in Translational Cancer Genomics and the Associate Director of Postgraduate Studies at Queen’s University Belfast, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On my way to Brussels for a busy week. In my first activity since I became Chair of The Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) I am co-hosting the CDDF Multistakeholder Workshop on “Enabling smarter clinical trials to optimise patient care.” which will address our need to do better in driving the cancer clinical trial agenda and its implementation.
Very excited about this and then we will also hold a CDDF Strategic Away Day when we are in Brussels, to develop our strategic vision for the next 3-5 years. Then its on to the European Cancer Organisation, European Cancer Summit where among many activities I will be co-chairing ECO’s Emergencies and Crises Focussed Topic Network with an exciting range of speakers and topics. So an exciting and thought provoking week, dedicated to finding and implementing solutions that benefit patients.”
