Mark Dingle, Director of Operations at Wishford Education, shared on LinkedIn:
“A proud dad moment.
Last September, my son James set himself a challenge: to run 1,500km in a year. With less than 300km to go, he’s well on track to achieve it.
Over the past year, he has been out running in all weathers, consistently putting in the kilometres while also balancing the demands of the first year of his GCSE studies. There have been early mornings, wet runs, cold runs, and undoubtedly days when motivation was hard to find, but he has kept going.
James isn’t doing this just for the challenge. He is raising money for Cancer Research UK (CRUK), a charity that is very close to our hearts. Like so many families, we know several people whose lives have been affected by cancer, and this is his way of making a positive contribution to a cause that matters deeply to him.
As a parent, I’ve been incredibly proud to watch his determination, resilience, and discipline throughout this challenge.
Please don’t feel any pressure to donate, but if you would like to support James and Cancer Research UK, he is collecting sponsorship through Just Giving.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported him so far.”
