Marine Durand, Senior Program Manager – Partnerships, The Max Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn by The Max Foundation, adding:
“Breast cancer should not be a death sentence—yet in Sierra Leone, too many women face that reality.
Last month, I joined stakeholder meetings in Sierra Leone with our partners, ABC Global Alliance, Thinking Pink, to help pave the way for our breast cancer program. Women are diagnosed at a young age, face extremely limited resources, and lack access to essential treatments like ovarian suppressants.
These barriers highlight the urgent need for collective action and stronger systems of care.
I hope you’ll join our webinar tomorrow on ‘Overcoming Barriers to Breast Cancer Treatment in Sierra Leone’ to be part of this important conversation.
