This month, we’re recognizing Mariana Mirabel, – a trailblazer in French cardio-oncology.
Dr Mariana Mirabel is a cardiologist at Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, Paris, France. She is head of the first dedicated cardio – oncology department in Paris at the Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou Hospital, Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris, Université Paris Descartes.
She served as President of the IC-OS France Chapter and has been a pioneer in the development of a training course in Cardio-Oncology for French physicians.
Dr. Mirabel specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular disease. Her clinical interests include valvular heart disease, heart failure, and advanced cardiovascular imaging and cardio-oncology.
Dr. Mirabel is recognized for her patient-centered approach, multidisciplinary collaboration, and commitment to integrating emerging evidence into everyday practice.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mirabel contributes to research and education within the Paris medical community, participating in initiatives aimed at improving cardiovascular outcomes for cancer patients and enhancing the quality of care across the region.
She is regarded as a dedicated clinician, educator, and advocate for excellence in cardiology.
