“ESMO Preceptorship on Gastric Cancer
It was a pleasure to contribute to the ESMO Preceptorship on Gastric Cancer here in Singapore over the past days. I had the opportunity to speak about perioperative care, focusing on prehabilitation, nutrition, and ERAS pathways—key components that shape outcomes for patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery.
What made this event truly inspiring was the interdisciplinary exchange with participants from across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. The discussions highlighted not only shared challenges, but also the diverse realities in different healthcare systems—ranging from resource availability to treatment strategies for multimodal gastric cancer treatment.
A heartfelt thank you to the chairmen, Florian Lordick, and Wei Peng Yong, the international faculty and all participants for the thoughtful conversations and the openness to learn from each other. Events like this show how international collaboration drives better patient care and innovation.
Looking forward to continuing these discussions and building on the momentum created here.”
