Marco Donia: Honoring Alan Houghton’s Legacy in Melanoma Immunotherapy

Marco Donia, Professor at University of Copenhagen, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Grateful to the Melanoma Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for the invitation and for the opportunity to give the annual lecture honoring the scientific legacy of Dr. Alan Houghton.

Dr. Houghton’s work helped shape modern melanoma immunology and contributed importantly to the development of cancer immunotherapy. It was a privilege to reflect on his legacy and on how current work in the field of Cell-based Immunotherapy and beyond continues to build on foundations established by pioneers like him. More.

Many thanks to the MSK team, and especially to James Smithy, Alex Shoushtari, Charlotte Ariyan, and Michael Postow, for their warm hospitality, stimulating discussions, and their extraordinary commitment to research and patient care.

An opportunity to strengthen transatlantic bonds between CCIT-DK – National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy of Denmark and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center!
