Manola Bettio։ New ECIS Long-Term Cancer Incidence and Mortality Estimates Available up to 2050

Manola Bettio, Scientific researcher at JRC – EU Commission, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“New ECIS long-term cancer incidence and mortality estimates now available up to 2050.

The European Cancer Information System (ECIS) has released updated long-term estimates of cancer incidence and mortality for the EU-27 and EFTA countries, extending projections to 2050.

The estimates combine the 2024 ECIS incidence and mortality data with Eurostat population projections, providing valuable insights into the future cancer burden across Europe.

ECIS long-term estimates are the result of a collaborative project involving the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the European Network of Cancer Registries (ENCR), and the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR), supporting evidence-based cancer surveillance and planning across Europe.”
