Maira Caleffi, President Of The Board Of Directors at IGCC – Instituto de Governança e Controle do Cânce, shared on LinkedIn:
“I’m grateful to MAMMÔ 2026 for the opportunity to share Brazil’s experience in mobilising civil society to advance timely cancer diagnosis, highlighting the impact of the 30-Day Law (Law No. 13,896/2019) and FEMAMA’s role in turning patients’ needs into public policy.
Passing a law is only the beginning. Effective implementation requires resources, monitoring, political commitment and active civil society engagement.
International collaboration is essential to turning policy commitments into real improvements in cancer care.
Time is also care. A woman with suspected cancer cannot wait.”
