“Gratitude note!
Of many things, clinician-investigators are involved in – treating humans with cancers, maintaining clinical trial and research portfolios, and training the next generation of oncologists, the one I cherish the most is patient care.
We all receive ‘thank you’ notes from our patients and families, but this past week was special!
One of the patients brought a handmade piece of art. Another wrote something that made me realize that my professional move from much larger, well-oiled cancer centers to this smaller one in a rural town was not wrong!”
