Luchuo Engelbert Bain, Senior Implementation Research Scientist and Deputy Director of MSc in Global Women’s Health at Nuffield Dept of Women’s & Reproductive Health, University of Oxford, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Excited to begin a new chapter in my career. I do so with a heavy heart as I leave what has truly been a dream workplace – The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC). I am deeply grateful for the experiences, relationships, and purpose that shaped me there.
In these complex times, it felt right to step into a space of deeper learning. And there could be no better opportunity than one where I am called not only to teach, but to learn – and above all, to learn from students and colleagues.
As Senior Implementation Research Scientist and Deputy Director, MSc in Global Women’s Health at the Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive health at the University of Oxford, I will be working at the intersection of research, policy, and advocacy to advance equitable health systems.
I will lead and support large-scale, multi-country implementation research, including complex trials, with a strong focus on ethics, community engagement, and communication strategy.
In my leadership role within the MSc programme, I will support to shape the strategic direction, curriculum, and delivery of an innovative, highly needed, women-focused, and globally leading programme. I am particularly committed to ensuring it remains a platform that integrates implementation science, policy engagement, and real-world application – equipping future leaders to navigate complexity and drive meaningful impact.
Grateful. Humbled. Ready to learn!”
