“For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know two truly special people — Johnny and Genie Ussery — and learning why the mission of Duke Cancer Institute (DCI) means so much to them.
With their inspiring leadership, we recently hosted a wonderful gathering near their home base in Hilton Head. The event brought together two of DCI’s exceptional physicians, Dr. Peter Allen and Dr. Diane Reidy Lagunes, along with more than 60 guests eager to learn about the world-class cancer care available at DCI — within driving distance.
A heartfelt thank you to the Usserys, Drs. Allen and Reidy, our VP of Duke Health Develolment, Stacy Waters, and everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and helped make the evening such a success.
