Lorenzo Scardina: Omission of Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Lobular Breast Cancer at SSO 2026

Lorenzo Scardina, MD PhD student FEBS BRESO Certified Breast Surgeon at Agostino Gemelli University Hospital Foundation IRCCS, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Delighted to have been invited to the SSO2026 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, where I had the opportunity to present our work on the omission of sentinel lymph node biopsy in early-stage lobular breast cancer.

Many thanks to the Society of Surgical Oncology and the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) for the kind invitation and for organizing such a stimulating meeting, bringing together experts from around the world to advance surgical oncology and breast cancer care.

I am grateful to be part of this international discussion and to share our experience from the Breast Unit at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

A special mention to Prof. Gianluca Franceschini, head of our Breast Unit, for his continuous support.”
