Lore Gruenbaum, Chief Scientific Officer at Blood Cancer United, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Blood Cancer United team was honored to participate in this year’s Health Disparities in Hematologi Malignancies conference in Atlanta.
This unique conference brings together experts covering the full range of biological, genetic, social and environmental factors that affect the outcome of treatment for lymphoma patients.
I want to express my gratitude to Drs Jean Koff, Christopher R. Flowers, Michelle Hildebrandt, Ann-Kathrin Eisfeld and Theresa Keegan for including us and providing the opportunity for me to discuss funding strategies to address health disparities.
My colleagues Nina Logan, Javier M. Macias, Eric Cooks and Whitney Meeks covered the wide spectrum of programs at Blood Cancer United to work towards our goal of access to good treatment for all patients with blood cancer. We especially appreciate that two students participating in our Student Mentorship & Training Program (SMART) were able to attend the conference thanks to generous travel grants provided by the conference organizers.
This program is open for applications now.”
