Loizos G. Loizou: How We Beat Cancer in Children and Adolescents Vision and Strategy

Loizos G. Loizou, Head of Cyprus International Action Plan for Children with Cancer at ELPIDA Foundation for Children with Cancer, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Dear Ones, I invite you to the lecture on: “How We Beat Cancer in Children and Adolescents: Vision and Strategy” on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 19:00, in Larnaca, The Ballroom (67 Artemidos Avenue).

The lecture is held at the invitation of Mr. Andreas Apostolou, Member of Parliament and Vice-President of the Christina A. Apostolou Foundation, whom I warmly thank for this honorary invitation.

It is the keynote speech in the context of an event for the 20th anniversary of the Foundation’s founding. I am attaching the invitation.

The lecture will present, in a simple and meaningful way, where we were, what we have achieved and where we are today, as well as how we can contribute internationally for every child with cancer. From almost zero we have created an integrated response system.

Today we are achieving top-level results. We are now expanding our action globally. Thanks to our international actions, we promote Cyprus as a center for the provision of humanitarian and medical aid.

At the same time, we make it a provider of high-quality information and education worldwide, especially in countries where there is a need for prevention, early diagnosis, proper administration of treatments and compliance with medical guidelines. Your presence will be a special honor for me and my team and gives us strength to continue our work for children struggling with cancer and leukemia, in Cyprus and internationally.

I will be very happy to see you. Yours sincerely, Dr. Loizou.”
