“I am beyond excited to welcome Vince Marchetta and Roberto Garcia-Rodriguez to our American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) National Board of Directors.
I have personally seen how Vince has grown into a tremendous cancer advocate and Bobby has been a pillar of his community, especially in his commitment to healthcare advocacy.
Working with Vince is always a joy, whether he’s advocating on Capitol Hill for evidence-based policies that will help cancer patients and their families, or bringing to life a creative fundraiser for Lights of Hope. He’s someone who has turned his grief into action, honoring his late wife Betsy through his cancer advocacy.
Bobby’s passion for making health care access more equitable is something I have long admired. His leadership in Puerto Rico has grown our cancer mission tremendously. We are so lucky to have him on the team.
I am confident that both Vince and Roberto are volunteers leaders ACS CAN needs to keep driving our mission ahead. I look forward to continuing to work with them in this new capacity.”

“We are thrilled to announce two new members of our ACS CAN National Board of Directors: Vince Marchetta and Roberto (Bobby) García Rodríguez JD, MBA.
Vince has been a volunteer with ACS CAN since 2020 and currently serves as Ohio’s State Lead Ambassador. After losing his wife Betsy to metastatic cervical cancer, Vince channeled his grief into advocacy to save more lives from cancer. Vince has worked in commercial real estate for his entire professional career, holding major leadership positions in the private sector.
Roberto is a seasoned executive and board leader with more than three decades of experience across health care, insurance, telecommunications, financial and legal services. He was the founding president of the Puerto Rico chapter of CEOs Against Cancer and served as president of the Medicaid and Medicare Advantage Products Association of Puerto Rico, reflecting his longstanding commitment to health care advocacy and community service.
Vince and Roberto will make exceptional additions to ACS CAN’s board, and we look forward to seeing their impact on our mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We thank them for their commitment to the fight against cancer.”
