Lisa A. Lacasse: ACS CAN Continues to Celebrate Victories in the Fight Against Cancer

Lisa A. Lacasse, President of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is continuing to celebrate recent major victories in the fight against cancer. Over the past weeks, we’ve placed print and digital ads around the country — including in The Wall Street Journal and on Punchbowl News (this week) — on behalf of cancer patients and families, applauding Congress for passing legislation that increases cancer research and prevention funding and creates a pathway for Medicare to cover multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests, once FDA-approved and shown to have clinical benefit.

ACS CAN is grateful that Congress worked together to bring these cancer‑fighting provisions across the finish line. We are deeply grateful to the thousands of ACS CAN volunteers across the country who shared their personal stories, including those featured in our ads, who helped drive this progress forward. Their dedication, persistence, and voices remain critical to ending cancer as we know it, for everyone.”
