Lindsay McElroy, Senior Program Manager at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:
“It was a sweet, sweet summer for the DAISY program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We were able to pull off not one, but two really special surprise ceremonies.
Megan Caouette is one of a kind and a truly inspiring nurse leader. She’s thoughtful, intentional, persistent, resilient, and so much more. I didn’t expect to find someone who not only sees all of my wild, creative visions, but one-ups me with even crazier ideas. But then we can also body-double and get an incredible amount of work done by feeding off each other’s energy. Our friendship is one of my favorite things that has come out of the past few years. I’m so proud of the nurse leader she has grown to be, and I’m excited to be there for the rest of her journey.
Danielle Wright is the bedside nurse that everyone aspires to be: admired by peers and patients all over the hospital, simply by being herself at all times. She’s a phenomenal nurse, with skills and experience that she puts to good use wherever she’s assigned for her shift. Danielle was my first partner in crime as the chair of the old ‘recognition’ committee, and she helped ease me into the advisor/program manager role with her easy-going and encouraging spirit. There is no one more deserving of this honor than Danielle!
If you’ve asked me about my job in the last 3+ years, chances are you’ve heard about how much I love what I do to support nurses. Having the privilege of being the DAISY program manager is maybe the very best part of my job. I’m so lucky to work with extraordinary nurses everyday!”
