“For almost three years I have had the honour of presiding over ACRO – Asociación Colombiana de Radioterapia Oncológica. This role has allowed me to lead initiatives that mark a before and after for our region: bringing the first Refresh American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in Spanish to Latin America and, now, organizing in Colombia the first brachytherapy masterclass for Latin America, with the endorsement of the American Brachytherapy Society.
It fills me with pride to see that Colombia is moving forward with firm steps. We need to continue working so that our patients have access to timely treatments and always have the opinion of the radiation oncologist in their oncological decision-making.
We have a lot to offer and remain committed to raising the standard of care for all of our patients.”
