Lina María Loaiza Salazar, Ambassador OF American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), shared a post by WiN Colombia, adding:

“I thank WiN Colombia for this recognition.

As I read this post, I thought about the number of people who have been part of this journey: colleagues, teachers, students, patients, and work teams who have taught me that the best results are never individual.

I have been fortunate to develop my work in the Clínica Somer, surrounded by professionals committed to providing increasingly better care to patients, and to serve since ACRO – Asociación Colombiana de Radioterapia Oncológica, working together with colleagues from all over the country for the strengthening of oncological radiotherapy, medical education and the development of our specialty.

I deeply believe in leadership that builds, listens, forms new leaders, and opens spaces for others to grow. Therefore, more than a personal recognition, I feel it as a recognition of all the people with whom I have shared this purpose.

Thank you to WiN Colombia for making female talent visible and for inspiring more women to participate and lead in science, health and technology.”
