Liliana Vasquez: Advancing Equitable Access to HSCT Across Andean Countries

Liliana Vasquez, Childhood Cancer Technical Officer at Pan American Health Organization, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Last week, the Training Plan for Health Professionals for Equitable Access to Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) began in 6 Andean countries (Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, and Bolivia).

This plan is part of a PAHO/ORAS-CONHU South-South cooperation project, the PAHO-St Jude childhood cancer initiative, and a 3-year cooperation agreement with Barcelona Children’s Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and PAHO.

Thank you, Julia Marsal, Guillermo Chantada, Claudia Sampor, and Julia Palma for their support of this plan that already benefits more than 160 registered through virtual sessions on the Teleo platform!”

Guillermo Chantada, Head of the Outreach Program at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and Scientific Director of the Perez Scremini Foundation, shared this post, adding:

“Thank you, Liliana Vasquez, for trusting us with this important initiative. From the Barcelona Children’s Hospital Sant Joan de Déu’s Outreach program, it is an honor to collaborate.”
