Liang Cheng: Our 7 New PubMed-Indexed Cancer Research Papers

Liang Cheng, President of International Society of Urological Pathology, Vice Chair for Translational Research at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Last week, 7 papers from our collaborative teams were indexed in PubMed – almost one paper appearing every day of the week in PubMed. These studies span molecular pathology, GU and GYN pathology, precision oncology and biomarker discovery, consensus recommendations, and multidisciplinary cancer care. Science and academic medicine are always team efforts, and I am incredibly fortunate to work with such talented and inspiring collaborators across the globe.

Highlighted publications from last week include:

  • Pathological assessment of morcellated tissue after ERBT: insights from a two-round Delphi survey. World J Urol. PMID: 42101641
  • Detection and recurrence risk stratification of gastric cancer through DNA methylation profiling of blood. Lab Invest. PMID: 42097499
  • ER, PR, and HER2 triple positivity and triple negativity are associated with adverse prognostic significance in endometrial serous carcinoma. Virchows Arch. PMID: 42096089
  • Molecular Pathology of Genitourinary Tumors: Diagnostic, Prognostic, and Therapeutic Implications. Surg Pathol Clin. PMID: 42091277
  • Marked attenuation of P63 expression in plasmacytoid urothelial carcinoma with expanded immunohistochemical framework including E-cadherin, P120, HER2 and TRPS1. Histopathology. PMID: 42086287
  • Urologists, pathologists and patient advocates in prostate cancer shared decision-making. Virchows Arch. PMID: 42059932
  • International Society of Urological Pathology Consensus on Cancer Precursor Lesions: Working Group 3 Preneoplastic and Precursor Lesions of the Kidney. Am J Surg Pathol. PMID: 42054499

Publication is straightforward: just focus on the key message – One of the greatest lessons I learned from my mentor, Dr. David Bostwick, who taught me how to publish 62 original studies in a single year when I trained with him at the Mayo Clinic many years ago.”
